Does magic begin when Caylith goes to visit her remarkable Aunt Marrie and finds a real-life unicorn? Or when she meets her mysterious Grandfather? Or was it there all along, in her love for road lilies and other growing things? Caylilth and her friends discover magic, but then they must confront its end, too. With the land of Faerie disappearing, they face the end of the Roman world in Britannia and the dawn of a new age in Ireland.
Bil and Bon Franks invite you to enter the world of The Twilight of Magic saga . . . starting with the first book, Running Over Rainbows, set in ancient Britannia. Next comes Hidden by the Rose and Children of the Dust. The sweeping saga ends in the new land of Éire, Where Wild Ponies Ran.
Watch this post for more news as the publishing dates draw closer. Later, we will invite authors of ‘tween-to- adult books to talk about their work. Look for your chance to acquire a free copy of The Caylith Songbook, a collection of lyrics that are sung throughout the sagas by various characters.
In The Twilight of Magic saga, you will meet some unforgettable creatures and see some sights rarely seen by others. You will learn the rudiments of Owl Sight and of Walking Between Worlds. This looks equally appealing to YA and adults, in my opinion. Do I still want to believe in NimbleFoot and Jay Feather? You bet! Good luck.
Dear Miriam, You are the original keeper of unicorns and ponies of all kinds, so you know the truth about magic. Thanks for your fresh twist of humor and wisdom, Bil and Bon

You write GORGEOUS blogs, Bon & Bil, full of wonderfully interesting things to see and learn. And you say you’re a technophobe! I couldn’t learn to do all this so beautifully, that’s for SURE. Wow.
Hi, M. Peters! WordPress makes bloggers look better than they are…well, us, anyway! Thanks very kindly for the visit and the vote of confidence.
What a beautiful site you have here. Caylith seems like she has got a world of adventures to take us on.
Dear Kim, you know probably better than most how Caylith came to be, and how she is still back in Derry, waiting for a chance to come back to readers. We think that the next set of adventures will take a closer look at Jay and the Feather Clan of dwarves…how they got a chance to save St. Patrick and Ireland. There’s still a lot of grist for our mill!
Sounds fabulous–the characters sound fascinating and very magical. Lovely site. Now if only WordPress will let me post. M. S.
Dear M.S., Darling, thanks for visiting our site. We promise a lot of nifty characters and some unusual adventures, all set in the 5th century of St. Patrick. We hope that as Caylith grows older through the sagas, so our readers will be drawn from the mid to late teens, and of course also adults. There is truly something here for every age of reader.
Love all the white horses!
